Garsen and Metcalf Putting Announce Partnership

Garsen and Metcalf Putting are pleased to announce a strategic partnership combining Garsen’s innovative putter grip designs with Metcalf’s tour-level coaching and education.

Performance and quality are at the forefront of what Garsen aims to bring to the greater golfing community. Through our high-quality and innovative putter grips, we provide golfers with the means to improve their putting one grip at a time. At the heart of what we strive to do is make golfers better, not just in putting but in their overall games. Metcalf Putting shares the same goal through their education and coaching as they aim to improve how golfers perform physically and mentally, every time they’re on the green.

“The Garsen-Metcalf partnership comes together with one common goal, better putting. Metcalf’s detailed understanding of putter fittings, green reading, modern putting practices, and use of industry leading technologies such as Quintic Ball Roll Technology and Sam Putt Lab position them as a premiere company that understands how to utilize evolving technology for the betterment of their players, but it also positions them as a thought leader in putting education and coaching,” said Bernerd Garsen, Garsen’s Owner and CEO.

Stephen Metcalf PGA, Owner and Operator of Metcalf Putting, is dedicated to enhancing putting skills through personalized training to meet the player at their current skill level. With a focus on improving and tailoring stroke fundamentals and green reading, Steven is committed to helping individuals improve their putting technique and dropping strokes off their game. Steven holds numerous certifications, including Quintic Level 2 Certified, Capto Certified, Trackman Certified, and is a PGA Class A professional.  Steven has worked with multiple professionals from the PGA Tour to the Korn Ferry, and the Epson Tour, along with numerous collegiate golfers and top-level amateurs.  His modern approach includes utilizing the latest technologies and concepts to ensure a transformative putting experience.

“Partnering with Garsen was a no brainer for me.  As a putting coach, I have access to a lot of grips, and I started using the QUAD Tour in early 2025 on my personal putter. After doing some testing, I found that the grip was exactly what I had been looking for. The QUAD tour provided me with more points of contact while giving me feedback on its flat sides and the face angle at setup. The partnership with Garsen gives me a huge resource to offer my players a premium product, while helping them understand the importance of grip selection and how it impacts the putter.  At the end of the day, the grip is the players connection to the club and ensuring they have a grip that supports what we work on in lessons is as critical as the putter itself,” said Stephen Metcalf, Metcalf Putting Coach and Owner.

The combined efforts of Garsen and Metcalf will result in social media and web-based content across our social accounts, facilitated by Metcalf Putting. What we are striving for is to provide a tour-level understanding and approach to coaching and education that elevates the world’s best players on the biggest stages. By bringing that level of content to our audiences, our goal is to help golfers better understand their own putting capabilities, as well as the level of expertise professional golfers seek to improve one of the most important aspects of their games. Garsen is committed to supporting Metcalf through its marketing and advertising channels to promote cross-channel collaboration for both Garsen’s and Metcalf’s audiences.

What Garsen and Metcalf plan on bringing to golfers is education on putter grips from start to finish. Meaning that a player’s choice starts with the grip they choose and how that decision best fits their game. It ends when a player maximizes their ability through practice, education, and good technique. What this partnership represents is an understanding that by utilizing multiple levels of expertise, it can provide a beneficial output to performance on the greens.
